Happy Thoughts in the Morning

I know my absolute best for myself is merely a drop in the bucket of His best for me. I’ve been in continual thanksgiving and praise this year because I’m so grateful and appreciative for all that the Father is going to grace my life with. His mercy and generosity is legendary – so big the horizon can’t even give it proper scope. {Click on View Original Post to read whole blog.}

Bless Your Life

Rejection moves you forward.

So many people are afraid of failure and rejection. I’m not. I don’t actively look for it, but I do actively learn from it. Sometimes pursuing what you want is the best way to find out it’s not what you need. (CLICK on View Original Post to read all.)

Trains, Planes & Automobiles!

She didn’t see or appreciate any of that. I briefly thought of how controlling, manipulative and tyrannical she was being. I also focused on how she repeatedly claimed to be the head of the family, and thought that one belief could’ve led to the destruction of her marriage more so than all the wrong-doings she’s accused Granddaddy of throughout the years. Few are Chosen

What if I were able to see my light as clearly as I see my darkness? What if I were able to harness the good in me as securely as I suppress the sin nature? What if you are the person? What if you are the one your neighbor is waiting to receive from? What if you are the blessing? {Click on VIEW ORIGINAL MESSAGE to read whole post.}

RAINN DAY

Two Sundays ago, I participated in my first event as a RAINN representative. RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network) is an organization dedicated to assisting survivors of sexual assault. “Honestly, I’ve been enjoying reading your book as I proofread it. The last few books I’ve proofread/edited have been a really technical healthcare-related manual and a very academic history book, so I’m relishing the opportunity to work on something that is more personal and lively.

I’ve experienced the sadness, joy and frustrations of your life as I read through your manuscript, and there have been some lessons I’ve picked up on that I can apply to my own life.

I definitely think you have something in this book that can help others. What you have to offer is a sensitivity coupled with an intelligence, both of which you’re willing to really “put out there.” Your sensitivity allows you to really feel your pain or happiness and reflect upon those emotions. Your intelligence affords you the chance to dissect your experiences and understand what they mean, as well as find ways to communicate them to others so that they can benefit from them. Not everyone can do that.

I look forward to reading more, with the hope that your book ends on a very positive, hopeful note…. with you overcoming the obstacles and pitfalls of life to continue to find happiness and self-fulfillment.

Thanks.”
